GOING ANALOG IN A DIGITAL WORLD
Zach Lien | Vice President of Client Services | Craftsmanship + Emotion + Purpose
As a child of the late 80s/early 90s, I grew up with records
spinning in the house and never thought much of it. Especially once CDs started popping and you
could get 10 CDs for 1 cent through Columbia House. What a deal, right!
Fast forward to 2010 and I found myself with an itch for the
nostalgic experience of vinyl and decided to dip my toes in for all the reasons
many people do. The experience of holding a physical piece of media in your
hand, detailed artwork, liner notes, and not to mention the tedious, but
satisfying, process of playing a record.
The tactile nature of records allows for an additional sensory
experience that combines both the visual and audio art in a way that makes you
fully immersed in the music.
Running merchandise programs has many similarities.
Developing branded merchandise that engages and excites customers allows us to
create an experience much like that of a record. When each product we create
reaches the customer’s hands they see the quality, craftsmanship, and attention
to detail that makes them feel fully immersed in their favorite brand.
